పవన్ కళ్యాణ్, సాయిధరమ్ తేజ్  కలయికలో పి. సముద్రఖని దర్శకత్వంలో రూపొందిన చిత్రం ‘బ్రో’. పీపుల్ మీడియా ఫ్యాక్టరీ పతాకంపై టీజీ విశ్వప్రసాద్ నిర్మించిన ఈ సినిమాకి వివేక్ కూచిబొట్ల సహనిర్మాతగా వ్యవహరిస్తున్నారు. మాటలమాంత్రికుడు త్రివిక్రమ్ శ్రీనివాస్ స్క్రీన్ ప్లే, డైలాగ్స్ అందించారు. థమన్ సంగీతం సమకూర్చిన ఈ సినిమాలో కేతిక శర్మ, ప్రియ ప్రకాష్ వారియర్ కథానాయికలు. జూలై 28న ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు రానున్న ఈ చిత్రం నుంచి ఇప్పటికే విడుదలైన టీజర్, ట్రైలర్, పాటలు విశేషంగా ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి. విడుదల తేదీ దగ్గర పడుతుండటంతో ప్రచార కార్యక్రమాలు ఊపందుకున్నాయి. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో తాజాగా విలేకర్లతో ముచ్చటించిన కథానాయకుడు సాయి ధరమ్ తేజ్, బ్రో సినిమాకి సంబంధించి పలు ఆసక్తికర విషయాలను పంచుకున్నారు.

బ్రో చేయడం ఎలా ఉంది?
సినీ పరిశ్రమలో నా కెరీర్ ప్రారంభంలో నవ్వు ఎవరైతే సపోర్ట్ చేశారో, ఆయనతో(పవన్ కళ్యాణ్) కలిసి నటించే అవకాశం వచ్చింది. ఇది నన్ను నేను నిరూపించుకునే అవకాశం. కథ కూడా వినకుండానే సినిమా చేయడానికి అంగీకరించాను. మాతృక కూడా చూడలేదు. ఆ తర్వాత మొత్తం కథ విన్నాక చాలా బాగుంది అనుకున్నాను. ఇది నా కెరీర్ కి ట్రిబ్యూట్ ఫిల్మ్. నేను గురువుగా భావించే మావయ్యతో కలిసి సినిమా చేయడం చాలా సంతోషాన్నిచ్చింది.

మొదటిరోజు సెట్ లో అడుగుపెట్టినప్పుడు ఎలా అనిపించింది?
మొదటిరోజు కంగారు పడ్డాను, వణికిపోయాను. మావయ్య పిలిచి ఎందుకురా కంగారు పడుతున్నావు, నేనే కదా అంటూ నా టెన్షన్ అంతా తీసి పక్కనపెట్టారు. దాంతో వెంటనే సెట్ అయిపోయాను. సముద్రఖని గారు కూడా బాగా సపోర్ట్ చేశారు.

కథతో పర్సనల్ గా ఏమైనా కనెక్ట్ అయ్యారా?
కథ ఓకే సమయానికి నాకు యాక్సిడెంట్ జరగలేదు. అది యాదృచ్చికంగా జరిగింది. టైం విషయంలో మాత్రం కనెక్ట్ అయ్యాను. ఎందుకంటే నేను కుటుంబంతో సమయం గడపటాన్ని ఇష్టపడతాను. మా అమ్మగారితో గానీ, నాన్న గారితో గానీ రోజులో ఏదొక సమయంలో కాసేపైనా గడుపుతాను. నా దృష్టిలో కుటుంబసభ్యులు, స్నేహితులతో సమయం గడపటం కంటే విలువైనది ఏదీ లేదు.

త్రివిక్రమ్ గారి గురించి?.. ఆయన మీకు ఏమైనా సలహాలు ఇచ్చారా?
త్రివిక్రమ్ గారి లాంటి గొప్ప టెక్నీషియన్ స్క్రీన్ ప్లే, డైలాగ్స్ రాసిన సినిమాలో నటించే అవకాశం రావడం అదృష్టంగా భావిస్తున్నాను. ఆయన ఏమైనా సలహాలు ఇచ్చినా కథ గురించే ఇస్తారు.

సెట్ లో మెమొరబుల్ మూమెంట్ ఏంటి?
ప్రతి క్షణం మెమొరబుల్ మూమెంటే. మా మావయ్యతో అన్నిరోజులు సమయం గడిపే అవకాశం లభించింది. సినిమా మొదలైనప్పటి నుంచి పూర్తయ్యే వరకు నన్ను సరదాగా ఆటపట్టిస్తూనే ఉన్నారు. చిన్నప్పుడు నాతో ఎంత సరదాగా ఉండేవారో, ఇప్పటికీ నాతో అలాగే ఉన్నారు. చిన్నప్పుడు నేను కళ్యాణ్ మావయ్యతో ఎక్కువ సమయం గడిపేవాడిని. దాంతో తెలియకుండానే ఆయనతో ఓ ప్రత్యేక అనుబంధం ఏర్పడింది.

షూటింగ్ ప్రారంభమైన మొదట్లో మీరు కాస్త ఇబ్బంది పడ్డారని ప్రీ రిలీజ్ వేడుకలో పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ చెప్పారు కదా?
యాక్సిడెంట్ తర్వాత అప్పటికి ఇంకా పూర్తిగా కోలుకోలేదు. అప్పుడు మాట ఇంత గట్టిగా వచ్చేది కాదు. దాంతో డైలాగ్ లు చెప్పేటప్పుడు ఇబ్బంది పడ్డాను. ఆ సమయంలో నాకు మాట విలువ తెలిసింది. డబ్బింగ్ విషయంలో బాగా కష్టపడ్డాను. అప్పుడు నాకు పప్పు గారు బాగా సపోర్ట్ చేశారు. విరూపాక్ష సమయంలో కూడా ఆయన బాగా సపోర్ట్ చేశారు.

పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు ఎలాంటి సపోర్ట్ ఇచ్చారు?
పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారి సపోర్ట్ నాకు ఈ సినిమాకి మాత్రమే కాదు.. నా మొదటి సినిమా నుంచి ఉంది. మనం ఊపిరి పీల్చుకోవడానికి గాలి ఎలాగైతే ఉందో, ఆయన సపోర్ట్ కూడా నాకు అలాగే ఉంది.

పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారితో మీరు సినిమా చేస్తున్నారని తెలియగానే చిరంజీవి గారు మరియు ఇతర కుటుంబసభ్యుల స్పందన ఏంటి?
అందరూ చాలా సంతోషపడ్డారు. చిరంజీవి గారైతే మీ గురు శిష్యులకు బాగా కుదిరింది అంటూ చాలా ఆనందపడ్డారు.

మీ ఫ్యామిలీ హీరోలతో కాకుండా వేరే హీరోలతో పని చేయాలని ఉందా?
ఖచ్చితంగా ఉంటుంది. మంచి కథ దొరికితే నేను ఎవరితోనైనా చేయడానికి సిద్ధమే. ముఖ్యంగా రవితేజ గారు, ప్రభాస్ అన్నతో చేయాలని ఉంది. అలాగే కళ్యాణ్ రామ్ అన్న, నా ఫ్రెండ్ తారక్, మనోజ్ ఇలా అందరితో చేయాలని ఉంది.

పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు రాజకీయాల్లో ఉంటూనే సినిమాలు చేస్తున్నారు.. ఆ ప్రభావం సెట్ లో ఏమైనా కనిపించిందా?
రాజకీయంగా ఎన్ని ఒత్తిడులు ఉన్నా, ఎన్ని పనులున్నా ఒక్కసారి సెట్ లోకి వచ్చారంటే సినిమాలోని ఆ పాత్రకు ఎలా చేయాలనే ఆయన ఆలోచిస్తారు. బయట విషయాలన్ని మర్చిపోయి, ప్రస్తుతం చేస్తున్న సన్నివేశానికి ఏం అవసరమో అది చేయగలగడం అనేది ఆయన నుంచి నేర్చుకున్నాను.

తక్కువ రోజుల్లో షూటింగ్ పూర్తి చేశారు కదా.. ఏమైనా ఒత్తిడి అనిపించిందా?
మావయ్య తో కలిసి పని చేసే అవకాశం వచ్చింది కాబట్టి ఏరోజు కూడా కొంచెం కూడా ఒత్తిడి అనిపించలేదు. అయన గడిపే సమయం నాకు చాలా విలువైనది. కాబట్టి ఒత్తిడి అనే మాటే ఉండదు.

కథానాయికలు కేతిక శర్మ, ప్రియా ప్రకాష్ గురించి?
వైష్ణవ్ తో ఒక సినిమా చేసింది కాబట్టి కేతిక నాకు ముందుగానే తెలుసు. మన తెలుగు భాష కానప్పటికీ కేతిక గానీ, ప్రియా గానీ ముందే డైలాగ్ లు ప్రిపేర్ అయ్యి రెడీ అయ్యేవాళ్ళు. అదిచూసి నాకు ముచ్చటేసింది. ఇద్దరిది కష్టపడి చేసే స్వభావం.

సినిమా ఎలా ఉండబోతుంది?
ఈ సినిమాలో సందేశం ఉంటుంది. ఈ క్షణంలో బ్రతకడం గురించి చెబుతుంది. మన కష్టం మనం పడితే అందుకు తగిన ప్రతిఫలం దక్కుతుందని చెబుతుంది. అదే సమయంలో కామెడీ, రొమాన్స్ ఇలా మిగతా అంశాలన్నీ కావాల్సిన మోతాదులో ఉంటాయి.

థమన్ సంగీతం గురించి?
సినిమా చూసిన తర్వాత ప్రతి ఒక్కరు సంగీతం అద్భుతంగా ఉందని చెప్తారు. క్లైమాక్స్ లో ఆయన అందించిన నేపథ్య సంగీతానికి నేనైతే కంటతడి పెట్టుకున్నాను. సముద్రఖని గారు, థమన్ గారు కలిసి మ్యాజిక్ చేశారు.

త్రివిక్రమ్ గారి సంభాషణలు ఎలా ఉండబోతున్నాయి?
ఎప్పటిలాగే చాలా బాగుంటాయి. ముఖ్యంగా సినిమా చివరిలో నాకు, కళ్యాణ్ మావయ్యకి మధ్య సంభాషణలు కంటిపడేస్తాయి. తేలికైన పదాలు లాగే ఉంటాయి కానీ అందులో లోతైన భావం ఉంటుంది.

కొద్దిరోజులు విరామం తీసుకోవాలి అనుకుంటున్నారా?
ఆరోగ్యం మీద శ్రద్ధ పెట్టాలని చిన్న విరామం తీసుకోవాలి అనుకుంటున్నాను. విరూపాక్ష తర్వాతే తీసుకోవాలి అనుకున్నాను. కానీ ఇంతలో బ్రో షూటింగ్ స్టార్ట్ అయింది. ఇప్పటికే చాలా మెరుగయ్యాను. కొద్దిరోజులు విశ్రాంతి తీసుకొని మరింత దృఢంగా వస్తాను. ఇప్పటికే సంపత్ నంది గారి దర్శకత్వంలో ఒక సినిమా అంగీకరించాను.

మిమ్మల్ని యాక్సిడెంట్ సమయంలో కాపాడిన అబ్దుల్ కి ఏమైనా సాయం చేశారా?
కొందరు సోషల్ మీడియాలో తప్పుడు ప్రచారం చేశారు. నేను అతనికి కొన్ని డబ్బులిచ్చి చేతులు దులుపుకోవాలి అనుకోలేదు. ఎందుకంటే అతను నా ప్రాణాన్ని కాపాడాడు. నేను అతనికి ఎప్పుడు ఏ అవసరం వచ్చినా అండగా ఉంటానని చెప్పాను. ఈమధ్య కూడా అతన్ని కలిశాను. నా టీం అతనికి ఎప్పుడూ అందుబాటులోనే ఉంటుంది.

చిరంజీవితో గారితో కలిసి ఎప్పుడు నటిస్తారు?
ముగ్గురు మావయ్యలతో కలిసి నటించాలని నాకు ఎప్పటినుంచో ఆశ. నాగబాబు మావయ్యతో సుబ్రహ్మణ్యం ఫర్ సేల్ లో నటించాను. కళ్యాణ్ మావయ్యతో బ్రో చేశాను. అలాగే చిరంజీవి మావయ్యతో కలిసి నటించే అవకాశం కోసం ఎదురుచూస్తున్నాను.

పీపుల్ మీడియా ఫ్యాక్టరీ గురించి?
వారిలో స్పెషాలిటీ ఉంది. అప్పుడు వెంకటేష్ గారు, చైతన్యతో కలిసి వెంకీమామ చేశారు. ఇప్పుడు కళ్యాణ్ మామ, నాతో కలిసి బ్రో చేశారు. ఆ బ్యానర్ లో సినిమా చేయడం కంఫర్ట్ గా ఉంటుంది. చాలా సపోర్ట్ చేశారు. మళ్ళీ అవకాశం వస్తే ఖచ్చితంగా ఈ బ్యానర్ లో సినిమా చేస్తాను.

Bro, is one of the much-awaited films this season for Telugu audiences. Produced by People Media Factory in collaboration with ZEE Studios, Bro is written and directed by Samuthirakani. Trivikram penned the screenplay and dialogues for the film which is scheduled to cinemas all across the globe on July 28. In an interview with print/web media on Wednesday, Sai Dharam Tej shared his experience working with his uncle Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and the happy moments he spent with his idol on the sets of Bro.

Which element in Bro has grabbed you?
“One thing that grabbed me is — I got a chance to act with a person who encouraged me to step forth in the movie industry. It has given me a chance to prove myself. I didn’t even listen to the story then. It was a remake, I okayed it. I didn’t even watch the Tamil original Vinodhaya Sitham because I may get influenced by the original story. So I had to avoid watching it. I okayed the film because of Kalyan garu. My tribute to him. It’s not that I did because the story is related to my real life, no. Basically, Bro happened quite before I met with an accident. It coincidentally happened. It’s more of proving myself as an actor. The first day, I was quite nervous, then Kalyan garu called me aside and asked me what was happening to me. Why am I tense? Later, Samuthirakani garu had made everything at ease. I am lucky and I am grateful for Trivikram garu for writing dialogues and screenplay.

Can you describe a few challenging and as well as memorable moments on the film sets of Bro?
Tough moments are less, memorable moments are more. I loved spending good time with my Guru, my mentor and my mama (Pawan Kalyan). He is irreplaceable. He really pushed me hard to bring out the best inside me. The whole family is happy. Because a film coming under the combination of Kalyan garu brought joy. Vaishnav Tej and Varun Tej. Chiranjeevi garu was very happy for us. It is not what I want to do with my family heroes. I want to collaborate with anyone. One of the most loved heroes is Ravi Teja garu and Prabhas garu. These two are my favourites. Kalyan Ram anna and Tarak Anna were close to me. And Manchu Manoj is again my sweetheart. We had once planned a film but it somehow did not work.

Have you gone through any pressure while working for a big-budget film Bro?
Even though I had pressure, I enjoyed it thoroughly. It’s like a learning curve for me. Each day, all through the film schedule of 21 days, I happened to spend a sweet time with Kalyan mama. The first shot would be around 7.15 am in the morning, and we would pack up the work by evening 5.30. I learnt a lot and loved spending time. Even while sipping tea or having evening snacks, it was an immense happiness.

Your look in Bro seems to be quite different. How was it working with the famous fashion stylist Neeta Lulla?
Neeta Lulla has done a great job. She designed the costumes for Kalyan garu and for myself. She gave a flamboyant and charismatic look to both the characters of mine (Markandeya) and Kalyan garu.

How was it working with two leading ladies in the film Ketika Sharma and Priya PRakash Varrier?
Ketika and Priya were one of the most hardworking women I have seen in my career. I know Ketika because she worked alongside my brother Vaishnav Tej. Even though they are not natives of the Telugu language, they were able to pull out very well. That is something that I have to give credit for their effort. The boundaries of the characters would not go overboard. They have their limitations. So thus the romance part is also going to be moderately good. The story sends out a good message.

Everyone in your team has been praising S Thaman’s music in Bro. What’s your take on it?
I will tell you one thing. When the film totally comes out, you’ll definitely say that S Thaman garu has done a great job. I was moved by the climax. That is something that he has done some magic. It is easy to comment on his work and what’s new he has delivered. But he has done a great job including Samuthirakani’s vision.

Trivikram garu is known for his uniqueness as a screenwriter and director. How much value does he bring to Bro do you think?
Bro is going to be very impactful. There is a pre-climax conversation between me and Kalyan garu. It is so insightful that I can’t describe it. Words may look very simple. But the depth that the words brought are altogether a different vibe. It’s more about the film’s theme. Trivikram garu has done a great job.

We heard that you’re going on a six months break. How true is that?
Yes, I wanted a break after Virupaksha. Since Bro started before that, I wanted to finish it and go for a break. I want to make sure that my health is regained to my best. Right now I want to go on a break and focus on my health. I already have a film with Sampath Nandi garu. I have done a short film (23 mins) with my best friend Naveen. That will be coming soon. The concept is very beautiful. It is basically about the perspective of a soldier’s wife. How a soldier would sacrifice his family for the security of the motherland. — it goes along the lines.

Tell us about Abdul Farhan, who saved you during the tragic bike accident at Ikea.
Don’t take me wrong, YouTubers have made things worse. I have been in constant touch with that person. It is not that I want to get rid of him by giving some amount of Rs 5 lakh. That’s totally wrong. YouTube people — I don’t think they’re mainstream media. But it is very heartful to say that I am not bothered about Abdul Farhan. My team is in touch with him.

Multi-starrer trend within the mega family is not new in Tollywood. Have you planned anything with Chiranjeevi?
Happily, we can do it. I have a dream to act with all three uncles – Nagendra Babu, Megastar Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan. I have done two films with Nagendra Babu mamayya — Subramanyam For Sale and Jawaan. So the tip of the iceberg is ‘Bro’. And the main thing is to do a film with Chiranjeevi garu. I want to do films with my cousins too.

If at all you have to remake any Pawan Kalyan films, what films do you choose?
I don’t really want to do remakes of Kalyan Garu films. If at all a chance comes my way, I would probably think about doing Tholi Prema (1998) and Thammudu (1999).

What special have you found in production giant People Media Factory?
There’s something magical about People Media Factory. First, they made a film ‘Venky Mama’ in which the principal characters were Venkatesh Daggubati garu and his nephew Naga Chaitanya. The film happened to be their first film in Telugu. And their 25th film ‘Bro’ again featured me and my maternal uncle Kalyan garu. Working with them was so comfortable. They were so forthcoming. We had a wonderful working space. It is hard to find producers who are so supportive.

పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ మాట్లాడుతూ.. “ఇంత అభిమానం, ఇంత ప్రేమ నాకు సినిమానే ఇచ్చింది. ఒక్కోసారి ఇంత అభిమానం, ప్రేమ కలా నిజమా అనిపిస్తుంది. ఇది నేను కోరుకున్న జీవితం కాదు, భగవంతుడు నాకు ఇచ్చిన జీవితం. ఏరోజు కూడా చాలా చిన్న జీవితాన్ని బ్రతకాలి అనుకున్నాను తప్ప, ఒక నటుడు అవ్వాలని, రాజకీయాల్లోకి రావాలని నేనెప్పుడూ ఊహించలేదు. మీ పట్ల నాకున్న అభిమానం, ప్రేమ నేను మాటల్లో వర్ణించలేను. మీ ప్రేమ, అభిమానం నాలో అణువణువునా ఉంటాయి. సముద్రఖని గారు చెప్పినట్లుగా, ఎంతసేపూ సమాజం నుంచి తీసుకోవడం కాదు, సమాజానికి ఏదైనా ఇవ్వాలి. నేను సినిమా చేసేటప్పుడు సమాజానికి ఉపయోగపడే ఎంతోకొంత చిన్నపాటి ఆలోచన ఉంటే బాగుంటుంది అనుకుంటాను. ఇది చాలా సంపూర్ణమైన సినిమా. కరోనా సమయంలో ఒకసారి ప్రముఖ దర్శకులు, మిత్రులు త్రివిక్రమ్ గారు ఫోన్ చేశారు. సముద్రఖని గారి దగ్గర ఓ కథ విన్నాను, చాలా బాగుందని చెప్పారు. నాకు ఒకసారి కథ నచ్చిందంటే రచయితని గానీ, దర్శకుడిని గానీ సంపూర్ణంగా నమ్మేస్తాను. అంత నమ్మకంగా ఈ సినిమా చేశాను. సముద్రఖని గారు రాసిన కథకి త్రివిక్రమ్ గారు సరికొత్త స్క్రీన్ ప్లే అందించారు. ముఖ్యంగా అభిమానులను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని ఆయన స్క్రీన్ ప్లే చాలా బాగా డెవలప్ చేశారు. ఒక విషయంలో నేను సముద్రఖని గారికి అభిమానిని అయ్యాను. మనలో చాలామందికి తెలుగుభాష సరిగా చదవడం, పలకటం రాదు. ఇంగ్లీష్ పదాలు లేకుండా తెలుగు మాట్లాడలేకపోతున్నాం. మన మాతృభాష బలంగా ఉండాలని ఎప్పటికప్పుడు నన్ను నేను సరిదిద్దుకుంటూ ఉంటాను. అలాంటిది సముద్రఖని గారు మన భాష కాదు, మన యాస కాదు. మొదటిరోజు నేను స్క్రిప్ట్ రీడింగ్ కి వెళ్తే, అక్కడ ఆయన స్క్రిప్ట్ చదువుతూ కనిపించారు. ఆయన తమిళ్ లోనో, ఇంగ్లీష్ లోనో రాసుకొని చదువుకుంటున్నారు అనుకున్నాను. వెళ్లి చూస్తే అది తెలుగు స్క్రిప్ట్. మీకు తెలుగు వచ్చా అని అడిగితే, ఈ సినిమా కోసం కొన్ని నెలల నుంచి నేర్చుకుంటున్నాను అని చెప్పారు. ఆయన మన తెలుగు నేర్చుకున్నారు కాబట్టి నేను ఆయనకు మాట ఇస్తున్నాను. నేను తమిళ్ నేర్చుకొని, ఒకరోజు తమిళ్ లో స్పీచ్ ఇస్తాను. సముద్రఖని గారు ఇంత తెలుగు నేర్చుకుంటే, తెలుగు మాతృభాషగా ఉన్న మనం ఇంకెంత తెలుగు నేర్చుకోవాలి అని కనువిప్పు కలిగేలా చేశారు. గొప్ప రచయితలు, దర్శకులు కావాలంటే మాతృభాష మీద పట్టుండాలి. మాతృభాష మీద, మన సాహిత్యం మీద పట్టుంటే గొప్ప గొప్ప సినిమాలు వస్తాయి. ఇది నేను కనీసం 50 నుంచి 70 రోజులు చేయాల్సిన సినిమా. సినిమా అంటే ఇష్టం నాకు, కానీ సమాజం అంటే బాధ్యత. సినిమా అంటే ప్రేమ నాకు. జూనియర్ ఎన్టీఆర్ గారిలా, రామ్ చరణ్ లాగా నేను గొప్పగా డ్యాన్స్ లు చేయలేకపోవచ్చు. ప్రభాస్ గారిలా, రానా గారిలా సంవత్సరాలు కష్టపడి చేయలేకపోవచ్చు. సాయి తేజ్, వరుణ్ తేజ్, వైష్ణవ్ తేజ్ వీళ్ళందరికీ నేను ఒకటే చెప్తాను. ఈ సినిమా పరిశ్రమ ఏ ఒక్కరికి చెందినది కాదు. మా కుటుంబానికి కూడా చెందినది కాదు.. ఇది అందరిదీ. ఈ కోట్లాదిమందిలో ఎవరైనా సరే బలంగా అనుకుంటే ఇక్కడ రాణించగలరు. చిరంజీవి గారు దిగువ మధ్యతరగతి కుటుంబం నుంచి మెగాస్టార్ గా ఎదిగారు. అప్పుడు మా వెనక ఎవరు లేరు. చిరంజీవి గారు హీరో అవుతావా అని అడిగినప్పుడు నాకు హీరో అవ్వాలనే ఆలోచన లేదు. నా ఊహ అంతా ఏదైనా చిన్న ఉద్యోగం చేసుకోవాలి, ఎక్కడైనా దూరంగా పొలంలో పని చేసుకోవాలి. అంతకుమించి కోరికలు లేవు. కానీ నాకు సాహిత్యం, మార్షల్ ఆర్ట్స్ అంటే ఇష్టముండేది. దానివల్ల ఎటూ తేల్చుకోలేకపోయాను. అప్పుడు మా వదిన గారు నాకు మార్గనిర్దేశం చేశారు. అలా మనల్ని నమ్మి, ఏంకాదు చేయమని ప్రోత్సహించేవాళ్ళు కావాలి. నేను సుస్వాగతంలోని ఒక సాంగ్ షూటింగ్ కోసం అప్పుడు వైజాగ్ వెళ్ళాను. అక్కడ బస్సు పైన డ్యాన్స్ వేయమన్నారు. ఆరోజు నాకు ఏడుపొచ్చేసింది. పదిమంది ముందు నటించాలంటే, డ్యాన్స్ చేయాలంటే నాకు సిగ్గు. అప్పుడు మా వదినకి ఫోన్ చేసి చెప్పాను. నన్ను సినిమాల్లోకి వెళ్ళమని చెప్పకపోతే ఎక్కడో మారుమూల ప్రశాంతంగా ఉండేవాడిని కదా అన్నాను. ఆరోజు మా వదిన చేసిన పనే ఈరోజు నన్ను ఇలా మీ ముందు నిలబెట్టింది. చిరంజీవి గారు కష్టపడి సాధించుకున్నారు. నేను ఆయన తమ్ముడిగా వచ్చాను. నేను ఏదీ గ్రాంటెడ్ గా తీసుకోను. ఆయన పది కష్టపడితే, నేను దానికి మించి కష్టపడాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నాను. పైకి సున్నితంగా కనిపిస్తాను కానీ నేను మొరటు మనిషిని. నాలోపల ఒక రైతు ఉంటాడు. నాకు తెలిసిందల్లా త్రికరణశుద్ధిగా పనిచేయడం. అదే కోట్లాది మంది అభిమానాన్ని చూరగొనేలా చేసింది. సాయి తేజ్, వరుణ్ తేజ్, వైష్ణవ్ తేజ్ వీళ్ళందరికీ  నేను ఒకటే చెప్తాను. గ్రాంటెడ్ గా తీసుకోవద్దు. కష్టపడి పనిచేద్దాం. గొడ్డుచాకిరి చేస్తాం మేము. దెబ్బలు తగిలించుకుంటాం, కడుపులు మాడ్చుకుంటాం, నష్టాలు వస్తే తీసుకుంటాం. సినిమాల ద్వారా అందరినీ ఆనందింపజేయడం కోసం నిరంతరం ప్రయత్నం చేస్తుంటాం. ఒక దిగువ మధ్యతరగతి కుటుంబం నుంచి వచ్చిన మేమే చేయగలిగినప్పుడు, మీరందరూ ఏది అనుకుంటే అది ఎందుకు సాధించలేరు. నాకు ఈ సినిమా చాలా ప్రత్యేకమైనది. నేను, త్రివిక్రమ్ గారు ఎక్కువగా సాహిత్యం, సైన్స్ గురించి మాట్లాడుకుంటాం. ఆయన ఎంఎస్సి న్యూక్లియర్ ఫిజిక్స్ గోల్డ్ మెడలిస్ట్. అంత చదువుకొని సినిమా మీద మక్కువతో ఇక్కడికి వచ్చి అద్భుతమైన రచయితగా, దర్శకుడిగా పేరు తెచ్చుకున్నారు. అలాంటి వ్యక్తికి మనస్ఫూర్తిగా ప్రత్యేక అభినందనలు. నీ స్నేహితుడిని చూపించు, నువ్వు ఏంటో చెప్తాం అంటారు. నాకు త్రివిక్రమ్ గారు స్నేహితుడు అయినందుకు మనస్ఫూర్తిగా ఆనందిస్తాను. ఆయను గురువు స్థానంలో పెడతాను. ఎందుకంటే ఆయన నుంచి పురాణాలు, సాహిత్యం గురించి ఎంతో నేర్చుకోవచ్చు. మహా పండితుడు ఆయన. తెలుగు భాష మీద మక్కువ కలగడానికి త్రివిక్రమ్ గారి వంటివారు మార్గనిర్దేశం చేస్తున్నారు. ఆయనను స్ఫూర్తిగా తీసుకొని సాహిత్య విలువలున్న యువ రచయితలు సినీ పరిశ్రమకి రావాలి. రాజమౌళి గారు మన పరిశ్రమని హాలీవుడ్ స్థాయికి తీసుకెళ్లారు. మహేష్ బాబు గారితో ఆయన చేసే సినిమా మన స్థాయిని మరింత పెంచాలి.  దీనిని కొత్తగా వచ్చేవాళ్ళు కొనసాగించాలి. నాకు అందరూ హీరోలు ఇష్టం. వారివల్ల ఎందరో కడుపు నిండుతుంది. అందరూ బాగుండాలని కోరుకుంటూనే, మన పెద్ద హిట్ కొట్టాలని కసిగా పనిచేయాలి. అప్పుడే పరిశ్రమ బాగుంటుంది. నేను ఈ సినిమా 20 రోజుల్లో షూటింగ్ పూర్తి చేయగలిగాను అంటే దానికి కారణం దర్శకుడు సముద్రఖని, డీఓపీ సుజిత్ వాసుదేవ్. థమన్ తో ఇది నాకు హ్యాట్రిక్ ఫిల్మ్. ఈ సినిమాకి పనిచేసిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరికి మనస్ఫూర్తిగా కృతఙ్ఞతలు తెలియచేస్తున్నాను. సాయి ధరమ్ తేజ్ నటుడు కావాలనుకుంటున్నాను అని చెప్పినప్పుడు, నా బాధ్యతగా యాక్టింగ్ స్కూల్ లో చేర్పించాను అంతే. తన కష్టం మీద ఇక్కడివరకు వచ్చాడు. సాయి తేజ్ కి యాక్సిడెంట్ అయిందని ఫోన్ వస్తే హాస్పిటల్ కి వెళ్ళాను. తను స్పృహలో లేడు. ఈరోజు తేజ్ ఇక్కడ నిలబడి మళ్ళీ సినిమా చేయగలిగాడు అంటే ఆరోజు కాపాడిన అబ్దుల్ అనే కుర్రాడు కారణం. ఆస్పత్రిలో సాయి తేజ్ ని చూసి ఏం చేయలేని పరిస్థితిలో కాపాడమని దేవుడిని కోరుకున్నాను. తేజ్ పూర్తిగా కోలుకోవడానికి చాలా సమయం పట్టింది. ఈ సినిమా సాయి తేజ్ చేస్తే బాగుంటుందని త్రివిక్రమ్ గారే సూచించారు. ఈ సినిమాని వేగంగా పూర్తి చేయడానికి ముందే సెట్లు రెడీ చేసి పెట్టుకొని, సరైన ప్రణాళిక చేసిన నిర్మాతలు విశ్వప్రసాద్ గారికి, వివేక్ గారికి ధన్యవాదాలు. ఈ సినిమా నవ్విస్తుంది, బాధపెడుతుంది. గుండెల నిండుగా నవ్వుకుంటాం, నవ్వుతూ ఏడుస్తాం. ఇలాంటి చక్కటి సినిమాని అందించిన సముద్రఖని గారికి కృతఙ్ఞతలు. తెలుగు పరిశ్రమ లాగే తమిళ పరిశ్రమ కూడా అన్ని భాషల వారికి అవకాశం ఇవ్వాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను. అప్పుడే ఆర్ఆర్ఆర్ లాంటి ప్రపంచస్థాయి సినిమాలు చేయగలుగుతాం” అన్నారు.

సాయి ధరమ్ తేజ్ మాట్లాడుతూ “ముందుగా ఈ సినిమా చేయాలని కళ్యాణ్ మామయ్య చెప్పినప్పుడు సరి చేసేస్తాను అన్నాను. కానీ ఇది ఒక మల్టీ స్టారర్ అని నువ్వు మెయిన్ లీడ్ ప్లే చేస్తున్నావు, నేను మరొక ఇంపార్టెంట్ క్యారెక్టర్ ప్లే చేస్తున్నాను అని చెప్పగానే షాక్ అయ్యాను. సినిమాలో నేను మెయిన్ లీడ్ ఏంటి? మీరు ఇంపార్టెంట్ క్యారెక్టర్ ప్లే చేస్తున్నారా? ఊరుకోండి మావయ్య అంటే లేదు నువ్వు చేయాల్సిందే అని చెప్పి వెంటనే బయలుదేరి రమ్మన్నారు. నేను బయలుదేరి వెళ్లాను. అక్కడికి వెళ్ళాక కూడా ఆయన నాకు ఫోన్లో చెప్పింది మళ్ళీ రిపీట్ చేశారు. అయితే ముందు సినిమా చేయడానికి నేను ఒప్పుకోలేదు. ఎందుకంటే నేను కూడా పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారి అభిమానిని కాబట్టి నాకు మనసు ఒప్పలేదు. కానీ నాకు ఆ విషయం తర్వాత అర్థమైంది. నన్ను ఏడిపించడానికి అలా చెప్పారు. కానీ ఆ ఏడిపించడాన్ని క్యాప్చర్ చేయడానికి సముద్రఖని చాలా కష్టపడ్డారు. ఈ సినిమా ఎప్పుడో ఓకే అయింది. అయితే అప్పటికి నేను ఒక చిన్న యాక్సిడెంట్ కారణంగా లేవలేని పరిస్థితుల్లో ఉన్నాను. నేను దాదాపు 12 రోజుల్లో కోమాలో ఉంటే మా కళ్యాణ్ మామయ్య ప్రతిరోజు సినిమా షూటింగ్ కి వెళ్లే ముందు నా దగ్గరికి వచ్చి కూర్చునే వాడు. నా చేయి పట్టుకొని నీకేమీ కాదురా అని చెప్పేవాడు. నాకు ప్రతి సారి అది వినపడుతూనే ఉండేది. థాంక్యూ మామయ్య థాంక్యూ సో మచ్ లవ్ యు. అందరి అంచనాలను మించి ఈ సినిమా ఉంటుంది, అభిమానులందరూ చాలా గర్వంగా కాలర్ ఎగరేసుకుని తొడగొట్టి ముందుకు వెళుతూ ఉంటారు. అదైతే ప్రామిస్ చేసి చెప్పగలను. ఈ సినిమాని ప్రొడ్యూస్ చేసిన పీపుల్ మీడియా ఫ్యాక్టరీకి చిన్న స్పెషాలిటీ ఉంది. వాళ్ళు మొదట్లో చేసిన సినిమా వెంకీ మామ అని చెప్పారు, అందులో ఒక మేనమామను మేనల్లుడిని కలుపుతారు. ఈ సినిమాతో కూడా ఒక మేనమామని, మేనల్లుడిని కలిపారు. సార్ ఇది చాలా స్పెషల్, నాకు ఈ సినిమా జీవితాంతం గుర్తుండిపోతుంది. జీవితంలో చివరి క్షణం వరకు గుర్తుపెట్టుకునే ఒక గొప్ప మెమరీ ఇది. సముద్రఖని గారు నాకు ఈ అవకాశం ఇచ్చినందుకు చాలా చాలా థాంక్స్, నేను కథ విన్నప్పుడు ఎలా ఎక్సయిట్ అయ్యానో అదే విధంగా సినిమా తీశారు. హ్యాట్సాఫ్ టు యు. మీరు ఏమైతే ఒక విజన్ తో సినిమాని ఊహించుకున్నారో దాన్ని తెరమీద చూపించారు. త్రివిక్రమ్ గారికి నేను చాలా చాలా థాంక్స్ చెప్పుకోవాలి. నాకు మా మామయ్యతో, మా గురువుగారితో నటించే అవకాశం ఇప్పించారు. నాతో ఈ పాత్ర చేయించాలనే ఆలోచన ఆయనకే వచ్చింది, అందుకే ఆయనకు జీవితాంతం రుణపడి ఉంటాను. మా డీఓపీ సుజిత్ గారు చాలా బాగా క్యాప్చర్ చేశారు. మా ఇద్దరి మధ్య బాండింగ్ ఎలా అయితే మేము అనుకున్నామో, ఎలా అయితే మేము ఉన్నామో దాన్ని అలాగే క్యాప్చర్ చేసి ప్రేక్షకుల ముందుకు తీసుకువచ్చారు. ఎడిటర్ నవీన్ నూలి గారికి థాంక్స్. నాతో కలిసి నటించిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరికి పేరుపేరునా ధన్యవాదాలు. ఈవెంట్ కి వచ్చిన వరుణ్ తేజ్, వైష్ణవ్ తేజ్ ఇద్దరికీ నా హృదయపూర్వక ధన్యవాదాలు. ఈ స్టేజ్ మీదకు నేను రావడానికి కారణమైన మా ముగ్గురు మామయ్యలకి నేను ఎల్లకాలం తలవంచే ఉంటాను.” అన్నారు.

వరుణ్ తేజ్ మాట్లాడుతూ.. “కళ్యాణ్ బాబాయ్, తేజ్ కలిసి ఈ సినిమా చేస్తున్నారని తెలిసి, నేను చేయలేకపోతున్నానని మొదట కొంచెం అసూయ కలిగింది. కానీ దానికి వంద రెట్లు ఆనందం కలిగింది. తేజ్ కి కళ్యాణ్ బాబాయ్ అంటే ప్రత్యేక అభిమానం. ఆయనను ఓ గురువులా భావిస్తాడు. కళ్యాణ్ బాబాయ్ తో సినిమా చేసే అవకాశం తేజ్ కి రావడం నిజంగా సంతోషంగా ఉంది. తేజ్ కి ఇది మరపురాని చిత్రం అవుతుంది. నాకు ఇప్పటివరకు కళ్యాణ్ బాబాయ్ గురించి ఇలా స్టేజి మీద మాట్లాడే అవకాశం రాలేదు. మాట్లాడాలంటే వణుకొస్తోంది. కానీ బాబాయ్ గురించి కొన్ని మాటల్లో చెప్పడం కష్టం. చిన్నప్పటి నుంచి నువ్వు ఇలా చేయి, అలా చేయమని ఎప్పుడూ బలవంత పెట్టలేదు. మీరు ఎదగాలనుకున్న రంగంలోనే కష్టపడి ఎదగండి అని మాకు ఫ్రీ హ్యాండ్ ఇచ్చారు. మాకు హార్డ్ వర్క్ ఒకటే నేర్పించారు. అది బాబాయి అయినా మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి గారైనా. బాబాయ్ రాజకీయంగా బయటికి వెళ్లి ఎండ, వానలో తిరుగుతున్నప్పుడు ఒక కొడుకుగా బాధ వేస్తుంది. ఇంత కష్టపడాలా అనిపిస్తూ ఉంటుంది. కానీ మా కుటుంబం నుంచి దూరంగా ఉన్నా మీ కుటుంబాలకు దగ్గరవుతున్నారని ఆనందం మాకు ఎప్పుడూ ఉంటుంది. ఆ ఆలోచన మాకు సంతృప్తికరం అనిపిస్తూ ఉంటుంది. బాబాయ్ వెనకాల మీరు ఎప్పుడు ఉంటారని మాకు తెలుసు అదే మా నమ్మకం, అదే మా ధైర్యం. మీరే కాదు మా కుటుంబ సభ్యులలో ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ మా కళ్యాణ్ బాబాయ్ ఏం చేసినా అది సినిమాలైనా, రాజకీయాలైనా, సర్వీస్ అయినా అండగా ఉంటాం. ఫ్యామిలీ గా నేను అయినా వైష్ణవ్ తేజ్ అయినా తేజ్ అయినా, చరణన్న అయినా కళ్యాణ్ బాబాయ్ వెనకాలే ఉంటాం. ఇది ఏదో స్టేజ్ మీద చెప్పే మాట కాదు, మనసు లోపల నుంచి చెప్పే మాట. బ్రో సినిమా టీమ్ అందరికీ ఆల్ ది బెస్ట్. బాబాయ్ కెరీర్ లో ఎన్నో హిట్ సినిమాలు చూశారు, ఇది కూడా హిట్ అవుతుంది, బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ అవుతుంది.” అన్నారు.

వైష్ణవ్ తేజ్ మాట్లాడుతూ.. “అందరికీ నమస్కారం. ఇక్కడికి వచ్చిన అభిమానులందరికీ నా హృదయపూర్వక నమస్కారాలు. నేను కూడా మీలాగా మీలో ఒకడిగా ఇక్కడికి వచ్చాను. ఒకటే చెప్పాలనుకుంటున్నాను కళ్యాణ్ గారి గురించి మాట్లాడే అంత అనుభవం  నాకు లేదు. నా వయసు ఆయన అనుభవం అంత ఉంది. బ్రో టీమ్ అంతటికీ ఆల్ ది బెస్ట్. కచ్చితంగా సినిమా పెద్ద బ్లాక్ బస్టర్ అవుతుంది. నన్ను ఆహ్వానించిన వారందరికీ స్పెషల్ థాంక్స్.” అన్నారు.

చిత్ర దర్శకుడు సముద్రఖని మాట్లాడుతూ.. “ఎక్కడో చిన్న గ్రామంలో పుట్టి, చెన్నై వచ్చి, అక్కడి నుంచి హైదరాబాద్ వచ్చి బ్రో సినిమా చేశాను. నాకు టైం వచ్చింది కాబట్టే ఇది సాధ్యమైంది. నేనేది ప్లాన్ చేయలేదు, అదే జరిగింది. మన పని మనం చేస్తుంటే మన టైం వస్తుంది. నేను ఒకసారి త్రివిక్రమ్ అన్నయ్యతో మాట్లాడుతున్నప్పుడు నాకొక ఫోన్ కాల్ వచ్చింది. నేను చేసిన సినిమా విడుదలై పది రోజులు అవుతుంది. ఒక 73 ఏళ్ళ పెద్దాయన సినిమా చూసి బాగా ఎమోషనల్ అయ్యి నాకు ఫోన్ చేసి మాట్లాడారని చెప్పాను. అన్నయ్య కథ చెప్పమంటే ఒక పది నిమిషాల్లో చెప్పాను. ఆయనకు కథ నచ్చి, పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారితో చేస్తే బాగుంటుంది అన్నారు. అప్పుడు త్రివిక్రమ్ అన్నయ్య రూపంలో నేను టైంని చూశాను. వన్ కళ్యాణ్, సాయి ధరమ్ తేజ్ కలయికలో ఇలా చేస్తే బాగుంటుందని ఆయనే చెప్పారు. అప్పటినుంచి ఏడాదిన్నర ఈ సినిమా పని మీదే ఉన్నాను. ఎప్పుడూ ఒక్క శాతం కూడా నమ్మకం కోల్పోలేదు. టైం కోసం ఎదురుచూశాను. టైం వచ్చింది. టైం(పవన్ కళ్యాణ్)ని కలిశాను. ఆయనను కలిసి మొత్తం స్క్రిప్ట్ అంతా వినిపించాక, షూటింగ్ ఎప్పటినుంచి అనుకుంటున్నారు అని అడిగారు. మీరు రెడీ అంటే రేపటి నుంచే సార్ అనగానే ఆయనొక చిరునవ్వు నవ్వారు. దానిని మర్చిపోలేను. 70 రోజులు చేయాల్సిన పనిని 20 రోజుల్లో చేశాను. అంత పవర్ ఉంది, అంత ఎనర్జీ ఉంది. పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారితో కలిసి పనిచేయడం అదృష్టం. సోదరుడు తేజ్ తో పని చేయడం సంతోషంగా ఉంది. ఈ సినిమాకి పని చేసిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరికి కృతఙ్ఞతలు” అన్నారు.

నిర్మాత టి.జి. విశ్వప్రసాద్ మాట్లాడుతూ.. ” ఒక అభిమానిగా పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారి సినిమా మొదటిరోజు మొదటి షో చూడటం గొప్ప అవకాశం అనుకునేవాడిని. అలాంటిది పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారితో పరిచయం ఏర్పడి ఆయనను దగ్గరనుంచి చూసే అవకాశం దొరికింది. అక్కడనుంచి పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు, సాయి ధరమ్ తేజ్ గారు కలిసి నటించిన మొదటి సినిమా నిర్మించే అవకాశం దక్కింది. దీనికి త్రివిక్రమ్ గారి స్క్రీన్ ప్లే, డైలాగ్స్ తోడయ్యాయి. కళ్యాణ్ గారు ఇచ్చిన టైంలో సముద్రఖని గారు సినిమా పూర్తి చేశారు. దీనినే టైం కలిసిరావడం అంటారు. సినిమా అద్భుతంగా వచ్చింది. ఒక అభిమానిగా మీరేం కోరుకుంటున్నారో అవన్నీ ఈ సినిమాలో ఉంటాయి. పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు టైంగా విశ్వరూపం చూపించిన ఈ సినిమా మా బ్యానర్ లో 25వ సినిమా కావడం గొప్ప విషయం” అన్నారు.

కథానాయిక కేతిక శర్మ మాట్లాడుతూ.. “పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారు నటించిన ఈ సినిమాలో భాగం కావడం గౌరవంగా భావిస్తున్నాను. ఈ అవకాశం ఇచ్చిన దర్శకుడు సముద్రఖని గారికి కృతఙ్ఞతలు. పీపుల్ మీడియా బ్యానర్ లో పని చేయడం చాలా సంతోషంగా ఉంది. తేజ్ చాలా మంచి మనసున్న వ్యక్తి.” అన్నారు.

People Media Factory, one of the leading production houses in Telugu cinema, is joining hands with ZEE Studios for Pawan Kalyan-Sai Dharam Tej’s Bro, written and directed by Samuthirakani. Trivikram pens the screenplay, dialogues for the film that hits screens on July 28. Ahead of its release this Friday, a grand pre-release event was organised in Hyderabad amidst scores of fans from the Telugu states, cast and crew. With exuberant music and dance performances, the event was a feast for film buffs, hinting at a blockbuster in the making.

Expressing greetings to everyone who attended the pre-release event at Shilpakala Vedika, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan said, “Only cinema has given me so much love and respect from people. Before I even came into the film industry, Brahmanandam garu had been watching since I was a small boy. Seeing this enormous love from audiences, sometimes I feel as if I am dreaming a dream. In fact, it’s not the life that I wanted to live. God has given me to make me reach my destiny. I never dreamt of becoming an actor. My words are very few. As Samuthirakani has rightly said, it is not what we take, it is what we give to society. Bro materialised in a special time when lockdown was imposed and I was not able to go into the public because of the situation outside,” he added.

The Powerstar further said that he has immense respect for actors because they provide employment to 1,000 families. “Because of one hero, so many technicians are able to get employment. They pay taxes in crores. So I individually have immense respect for them. They work so hard while bringing perfection toward their craft. And at the same time, when I do a cinema, I would like to hit a massive success at the box office. That competitiveness should be there. If films like Baahubali and RRR keep coming, Telugu pride runs into your blood, that’s the high you get in the end.”

Sai Dharam Tej said, “When Kalyan babai called me and told me about a story in which I am the main and lead and he has a key character. I could not believe what he was telling me. I didn’t agree with what he said. Later, I understood that director Samuthirakani convinced me to do the role because he wanted to make me cry. And he accomplished the task so successfully. This happened long before I met with an accident. Later, Kalyan garu assured me everything about how to go about. And we were successful in wrapping up on time. All fans would feel proud about this fantasy drama Bro.”

Director Samuthirakani said, “Taking birth in some nondescript village in Tamil Nadu, I then came to Madras in search of passion for cinema. And then I came here to stand before you all with the movie ‘Bro’. How is it possible? That’s the time. Nothing is planned, everything has happened magically. After talking to Trivikram garu over the movie, he was really excited to make it happen in Telugu. I told him the story of a businessman from Madurai who came to meet me for the movie I had made in Tamil. Trivikram was surprised about it. When I told that I want to bring this good story to people, he thought about it for a moment and asked me if it is okay for me to cast Pawan Kalyan garu. And that moment, time has smiled at me. And now I am before you because of the time. Everything happened in no time, the script is ready with changes. Cast and crew got ready. Studio and location are ready.”

TG Vishwa Prasad said, “I would like to give a small description of what time is all about. As a fan and as a software engineer, I would think watching Pawan Kalyan’s film first day first show is a great moment for me. I came closer to Kalyan garu through Nadendla Manohar. Later, I chanced upon producing the film. Samuthirkani garu has given his best in wrapping up the shoot within the stipulated time. This is what timing is. Every element in the film is so entertaining in Bro. I thank everyone who supported the project.”

Actor Varun Tej said, “Me and my brother Vaishnav Tej discussed what to speak on the stage. We forgot everything after our babai (Pawan Kalyan garu) made an entry into the event. I thank fans and supporters who attended the event. Kalyan garu is a man of few words. Since childhood, he never asked us to do this thing or become someone. He always respected our individuality and asked us to grow in life with our own talent. Kalyan babai is more of a people’s person than a member of a mega family.”

Actor Vaishnav Tej said, “I wish everyone who is part of Bro, all the very best.”

S Thaman said,” I am the luckiest person in the whole world. Because Vakeel Saab, Bheemla Nayak and now Bro. What else could I ask? I thank every technician and cast who supported the project. A special mention to producers of the film.”

Senior comedian Brahmanandam said, “I thank director Samuthirakani and producers TG Vishwa Prasad and Vivek Kuchibhotla. And the most inspiring, acting powerhouse Pawan Kalyan and cute boy Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej and Vaishnav Tej. I did a small character alongside the great Pawan Kalyan. I wish TG Vishwa Prasad all the very best.”

Priya Prakash Varrier explained that the moments that she spent with the Bro’s cast and crew is the best time ever in her career. “It really feels like I am spellbound because I am excited and happy. I am a bit nervous too. First of all, I would like to thank audiences for their constant support and love. I thank our director Samuthirakani sir for the opportunity to cast me in the film. I also thank People Media Factory for their love and support. I thank Sujith. My personal favourite single is ‘My dear Markandeya’. I couldn’t have asked for more as an upcoming actor working with the Powerstar. He is such a great and humble human being.”

Urvashi Rautela said that she was elated to be part of the pre-release function in the city. “Congratulations to the entire team of Bro — right from Powerstar Pawan Kalyan garu to Sai Dharam Tej. Like I and Dharam Tej were discussing, the film is a kind of his life story. I wish you all the very best.”

Ketika Sharma said she is very honoured to witness a powerhouse-like atmosphere. “I feel beyond honoured, Powerstar’s aura is something I have never seen before. I thank director Samuthirakani sir who has given me this opportunity. And gratitude to the production house which made everything go smoothly. I thank Sai Dharam Tej.”

Elated with the electric atmosphere of pre-release event, senior actress Rohini said, “So much of energy is coming from the crowd. I know how desperately you have all been waiting for Powerstar’s energy to witness. Good evening to everyone. Everytime, I see Pawan Kalyan garu gracing our films to promote them. And now I am fortunate to have closely worked with him in ‘Bro’. For a very long time I have had the dream of sharing screen space with the Powerstar, and Bro has made my dream a reality.

Yuva Lakshmi expressed happiness over sharing the stage with all glittering stars – Powerstar Pawan Kalyan and thanked Samuthirakani sir.

People Media Factory, one of the leading production houses in Telugu cinema, is joining hands with ZEE Studios for Pawan Kalyan-Sai Dharam Tej’s Bro, written and directed by Samuthirakani. Trivikram pens the screenplay, dialogues for the film that hits screens on July 28.

The makers are immensely happy with the response to posters, promos, teaser and the songs My Dear Markandeya, Jaanavule. Ahead of its release, the trailer of Bro was launched today in Jagadamba theatre, Vizag and Devi theatre, Hyderabad amidst scores of fans and the team including Sai Dharam Tej, Ketika Sharma, Samuthirakani, S Thaman and TG Vishwa Prasad.

The trailer commences showcasing a workaholic Sai Dharam Tej, who claims he doesn’t have time for anything in life and is always in a hurry at home and at work. Ketika Sharma plays his love interest. After a mishap and the arrival of Pawan Kalyan, who represents time, his life takes a drastic turn.

He is seen in a variety of avatars as a security officer, as a coolie (based on Tammudu look), bespectacled look and Sai Dharam Tej constantly tries to run away from him. While Pawan Kalyan is absolutely having fun, the latter appears confused and disturbed. Many wonder why they’re seen together always.

Pawan Kalyan says Sai Dharam Tej has a rare gift of going back in time and a series of dialogues on life and death grab your attention. There’s a good dose of emotion, comedy, high voltage action sequences and it’s apparent that a conflict around his family in worrying Sai Dharam Tej.

The trailer ends with a bang as Pawan Kalyan recreates Brahmanandam’s iconic scene from King, does the famous Jalsa step and shakes a leg with Sai Dharam Tej. The latter says he doesn’t even know the taste of a lipstick and his verbal banter with Pawan Kalyan makes for hilarious viewing.

The film reminds audiences of vintage Pawan Kalyan with his dance moves, comic timing and dialogue delivery and Samuthirakani has packaged the film well to please his fans without compromising on the story. Trivikram’s dialogues, Sai Dharam Tej’s screen presence, the star studded lineup, the grand visuals and Thaman’s background score are the major highlights of the trailer. There’s no doubt that an entertaining feast is awaiting audiences on July 28.

“We are all here for your love. I am so glad you liked the trailer. We’ll meet in theatres soon,” Sai Dharam Tej said. Samuthirakani mentioned the film will be a festival for Pawan Kalyan, Sai Dharam Tej fans, calling it a privilege to direct the ‘Power Star’ and thanked the producers, team and the fans for their love. The producer TG Vishwa Prasad asserted that the film will satisfy all expectations on July 28.

Bro’s Nizam distributor Sasidhar Reddy, calling himself a Pawan Kalyan fan, expressed confidence about the film’s business prospects and said that the trailer hints at a blockbuster in the making. The co-producer Vivek Kuchbhotla mentioned Bro has all ingredients of a memorable film, where Pawan Kalyan plays a God, reminding fans that the pre-release event will be held on July 25. Ketika Sharma asked crowds to come to theatres with their families.

“This is just a sample. You had many iconic fights in Vakeel Saab, Bheemla Nayak and Pawan Kalyan has a lot of surprises to offer fans, he has put his heart and soul into Bro. He has danced like a dream, did comedy superbly and the introduction, interval and climax will give you goosebumps. This is a very emotional film. Sai Dharam Tej has delivered a lovely performance, Trivikram’s dialogues are an asset,” Thaman stated.

Pawan Kalyan plays the titular character (Bro), Sai Dharam is cast as Mark a.k.a Markandeyulu. Priya Prakash Varrier, Samuthirakani, Rohini, Rajeswari Nair, Raja, Tanikella Bharani, Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju, Prudhvi Raj, Narra Srinu, Yuva Lakshmi, Devika, Ali Reza and Surya Srinivas play key roles too.
