ప్రముఖ నిర్మాణ సంస్థ సితార ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్స్, ఫార్చ్యూన్ ఫోర్ సినిమాస్ తో కలిసి తెలుగు, తమిళ భాషల్లో నిర్మించిన ద్విభాషా చిత్రం ‘సార్’(తెలుగు)/‌ ‘వాతి’(తమిళం). శ్రీకర స్టూడియోస్ సమర్పిస్తున్న ఈ చిత్రానికి సూర్యదేవర నాగవంశీ, సాయి సౌజన్య నిర్మాతలు. స్టార్ యాక్టర్ ధనుష్, సంయుక్త మీనన్ జంటగా వెంకీ అట్లూరి దర్శకత్వంలో తెరకెక్కిన ఈ చిత్రం ఫిబ్రవరి 17న ప్రపంచ వ్యాప్తంగా భారీ స్థాయిలో థియేటర్లలో విడుదల కానుంది. ధనుష్ నటించిన తొలి తెలుగు సినిమా కావడంతో ‘సార్’(వాతి)పై తమిళ్ తో పాటు తెలుగులోనూ భారీ అంచనాలు నెలకొన్నాయి. ఇప్పటికే విడుదలైన ప్రచార చిత్రాలకు ప్రేక్షకుల నుంచి అద్భుతమైన స్పందన లభించింది. ప్రచార కార్యక్రమాలలో భాగంగా తాజాగా కథానాయిక సంయుక్త మీనన్ విలేకర్లతో ముచ్చటించి సార్ చిత్రానికి సంబంధించిన పలు ఆసక్తికర విషయాలను పంచుకున్నారు.

మీ సినీ ప్రయాణం గురించి చెప్పండి?
2016 లో మొదటి సినిమా చేశాను. అప్పటికి సినిమానే కెరీర్ గా ఎంచుకోవాలి అనుకోలేదు. నేను కేరళలోని ఒక గ్రామానికి చెందిన అమ్మాయిని. చుట్టు పక్కల వాళ్లకి ఏదో ఒక సినిమా చేశానని చెప్పుకోవాలి అనుకున్నాను. మొదటి సినిమా తర్వాత చదువు కోసం ఒక ఏడాది విరామం తీసుకున్నాను. కానీ విధి మళ్ళీ సినిమాల్లోకి తీసుకొచ్చింది. నటిగా సంతృప్తినిచ్ఛే ఒక్క సినిమా చేస్తే చాలు అనుకుని సినిమాలు చేయడం మొదలుపెట్టాను. ఈ క్రమంలో సినిమాతో ప్రేమలో పడ్డాను. ఇప్పుడు సినిమానే జీవితం అయిపోయింది. నటిగా విభిన్న పాత్రలు పోషించి మెప్పించాలి అనుకుంటున్నాను. తెలుగులో సినిమాలు చేయడం మొదలుపెట్టాక ఇది నా కెరీర్ లో ఉత్తమ దశ అనిపించింది.

సార్ గురించి చెప్పండి?
నేను తెలుగులో మొదట బింబిసార, ఆ తరువాత విరూపాక్ష సినిమా అంగీకరించాను. ఈ సినిమాలు విడుదలయ్యాక కొత్త సినిమాల గురించి ఆలోచించాలి అనుకున్నాను. కానీ ఇంతలో సితార బ్యానర్ లో భీమ్లా నాయక్ లో నటించే అవకాశమొచ్చింది. ఒరిజినల్ తో పోలిస్తే తెలుగులో నేను పోషించిన పాత్రలో చేసిన మార్పులు నచ్చి, వెంటనే ఆ సినిమా అంగీకరించడం జరిగింది. భీమ్లా నాయక్ షూటింగ్ సమయంలోనే నా నటన నచ్చి సితారలో మరో సినిమా అవకాశమిచ్చారు. అదే సార్ చిత్రం. డైరెక్టర్ వెంకీ గారు కథ చెప్పగానే ఈ సినిమా ఖచ్చితంగా చేయాలి అనుకున్నాను. కథ చాలా బాగుంది, అందులో నా పాత్ర కూడా నచ్చడంతో వెంటనే అంగీకరించాను. ఆ తర్వాత లుక్ టెస్ట్ చేసి ఫైనల్ చేశారు.

ఈ చిత్రంలో పాత్ర కోసం ఏమైనా హోమ్ వర్క్ చేశారా?
కొన్ని పాత్రల కోసం ముందుగానే హోమ్ వర్క్ చేయాలి. కొన్ని కొన్ని పాత్రలు మాత్రం అప్పటికప్పుడు సహజంగా చేస్తేనే బాగుంటుంది. ఇందులో నేను తెలుగు పల్లెటూరి అమ్మాయి పాత్ర పోషించాను. ఇక్కడ పరిస్థితులు ఎలా ఉంటాయి? ఎలా ప్రవర్తిస్తారు? అనేది తెలుసుకోవడం కోసం తెలంగాణ, ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ లోని కొన్ని గ్రామాలకు వెళ్ళాను. అలాగే పాత్ర గురించి బాగా తెలుసుకోవడానికి డైరెక్టర్, రైటర్ తో ఎక్కువ చర్చించాను. అంతేకాకుండా టీచర్ల చీరకట్టు ఎలా ఉంటుంది? వాళ్ళ మాట్లాడే తీరు ఎలా ఉంటుంది? ఇలాంటివన్నీ గమనించాను.

ధనుష్ తో కలిసి నటించే అవకాశం రావడం ఎలా అనిపించింది?
చాలా సంతోషంగా అనిపించింది. ఎప్పటినుంచో ఆయన సినిమాలు చూస్తున్నాను. ఆయనకు అభిమానిని. ఆయన మంచి నటుడు, అలాగే పెద్ద స్టార్ కూడా. అలాంటి నటుడితో కలిసి నటించడం చాలా ఆనందాన్ని ఇచ్చింది.

కెరీర్ ప్రారంభంలోనే పెద్ద హీరోలతో కలిసి పనిచేయడం ఎలా ఉంది?
ముందుగా కథ ఎలా ఉంది?, పాత్ర ఎలా ఉంది? అని చూస్తాను. కథ బాగుంటే చిన్న సినిమాలు కూడా పెద్ద విజయాలు సాధిస్తాయి. ఇంకా దానికి స్టార్ తోడైతే ఎక్కువ మందికి రీచ్ అవుతుంది. అలాగే ఆ హీరో అభిమానుల ప్రేమ కూడా దక్కుతుంది. భీమ్లా నాయక్ సమయంలో పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ గారి అభిమానులు ఎంతో ప్రేమ చూపించారు.

ఈ చిత్రంలో మీ పాత్ర ఎలా ఉండబోతుంది?
డైరెక్టర్ వెంకీ గారి గత సినిమాల్లో మాదిరిగానే ఇందులో కూడా హీరోయిన్ పాత్రకు ప్రాధాన్యత ఉంటుంది. ఇందులో నేను మీనాక్షి అనే బయాలజీ టీచర్ పాత్రలో కనిపిస్తాను. ఈ సినిమాలో కథానాయకుడి పాత్రతో పాటు నా పాత్ర కూడా బలంగా ఉంటుంది. సినిమా ప్రధాన కథలోకి వెళ్ళినప్పుడు హీరో పాత్రతో పాటు నా పాత్ర ప్రయాణం సాగుతుంది.

సినిమా ఎలా ఉండబోతుంది?
ఇందులో విద్యావ్యవస్థ గురించి సందేశం ఇవ్వడమే కాదు.. ఎంటర్టైన్మెంట్ కూడా ఉంటుంది. అన్ని వర్గాల ప్రేక్షకులను మెప్పించే అంశాలు ఉన్నాయి.

డైరెక్టర్ వెంకీ అట్లూరి గురించి చెప్పండి?
ఆయనలో మంచి రచయిత, దర్శకుడు ఇద్దరూ ఉన్నారు. నటీనటుల నుంచి మంచి ఎమోషన్స్ రాబట్టుకుంటారు. ఆయన సెట్ లో చాలా సరదాగా ఉంటారు. దర్శకుడిగా తన పనిని వంద శాతం చేస్తారు.

డబ్బింగ్ మీరే చెప్పారా?
ఈ సినిమాకి డబ్బింగ్ చెప్పలేకపోయాను. అదే సమయంలో ఇతర సినిమాల షూటింగ్ లు ఉండటం వల్ల ఎక్కువ టైం కేటాయించలేకపోయాను. ఈ సినిమాకి డబ్బింగ్ చెప్పలేకపోయాననే బాధ ఇప్పటికీ ఉంది.

ధనుష్ నుంచి ఏం నేర్చుకున్నారు?
ఆయన అద్భుతమైన నటుడు. ఎక్కువ తక్కువ కాకుండా పాత్రకు ఏం కావాలో అది చేస్తారు. ఆయన నుంచి నటనలో మెళకువలు నేర్చుకున్నాను.

మీ తెలుగు గురువు ఎవరు?
నా తెలుగు ట్యూటర్ ఆశ. నాకు తెలుగు బాగా నేర్పించారు. షూటింగ్ సమయంలో నేను తెలుగు బాగా మాట్లాడటం చూసి అందరూ ఎంతో సంతోషించారు.

Sir is gearing up for its release on February 17, 2023. The movie is produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas and presented by Srikara Studios. With Dhanush, Samyuktha, Samuthirakani in the lead roles, director Venky Atluri carved it to perfection. The trailer releases recently got a good applause for its storyline, action, comedy, pulsating music and razor-sharp dialogue.

*Here are the excerpts from Samyuktha’s interaction with media*

*Journey into movies*

My first movie started while I was on vacation. I hail from a village in Kerala and during my first film I never believed I would make a cut in films. Then went back to studies, and somehow destiny got me here. When I did one movie with full attention then I fell in love with cinema. I consider cinema to be divine and spiritual. When things happen by luck then we don’t find difficulties. I had my best phase when I started movies in Telugu.

*How Sir happened?*

When I signed for Bimbisara and Virupaksha, I got a call from Bheemla Nayak team. I loved the changes they made to the original character. After signing for Bheemla Nayak, I met Venky Atluri and he narrated the story of Sir. Then I realized this a great film and I should not miss. I did a look test and I got finalised.

*On preparing for a character*

It purely depends on the character. For some, I want to be spontaneous. Then only the best acting happens. For a few roles, we have to prepare a lot. I went around a few villages in Andhra and Telugu to understand more about characters and their behaviors. I talk to director and writer to get more understanding of the character. For my teacher role in Sir, I visited schools to see how the teachers look, dress and talk. So, people can relate to my character.

*On working with Dhanush*

I have been watching Dhanush’s movies since a long time. He is an actor and a star. He is working in all languages and in international films. It’s a really good experience working with him. Dhanush is very quick and fast. When I was stressed with dialogues in two languages, he gave me motivation and I became stress free. Dhanush is spontaneous. He is subtle performer and knows how to be optimal with the acting.

*On working with big stars*

I majorly focus on the story and characters. In the current scenario, it’s exciting to get love from all the fans of big stars as I am working with them. It happened with Bheemla Nayak, and other films.

*Why do you consider acting to be divine?*

If we have to act, then we have to be truly in the moment. I must shut myself from external happenings when I am in the character. It’s not easy to achieve this state. Only a few times, I got into a true or pure moment. We must be completely into the film. The same can be achieved by meditation and I get there through my acting in films.

*On learning Telugu and experiences in Sir*

I learn Telugu as I felt it’s the need of the hour. When you are on sets, a lot of people talk in Telugu and it’s better to speak in their language. That made be learn Telugu and dub in the language. You have to be a good listener and stick to the brief given by the director. In a scene, we have to listen to other actors, and I picked most of the Telugu lines by being an active listener.

*On importance of character*

In huge films, female leads are seen playing a short role. But in Sir, the female lead has much more to do. I am not just limited to romance part but also connected with the main plot in a big way.

*Is Sir majorly focused on education?*

Sir is a wholesome entertainer. We want the audience to feel for education and the reforms. The audience will connect with all the characters and scenes.

*On Hyper Aadi calling Lady Superstar*

It’s good to know he believes that. I want love and support from the audience. I want to be with them. I am not concerned with the titles and other things.

*On working with Venky Atluri*

Venky moulded me to extract the right emotions. He is clear in what he wants, so it’s fun to work with him.

*On Dubbing for Sir*

I couldn’t dub for this film as I was stuck with many projects. That’s very unfortunate.

*Opinion on Love and marriage*

Love is the basis of everything. Greek, Roman literature and everything is about love. I truly believe that it’s the crux of everything. Love is not all about finding a romantic partner. There was a time when marriage is a necessity. Now it’s not. Women can be financially and emotionally independent. There’s no rush to love and marriage.

*On removal of surname Menon from the name*

I asked everyone not to use my surname. I don’t believe in someone identifying me with a caste. I feel it to be a separation. I speak humanity and want to be progressive. I don’t want to project that I belong to a privileged section.

*On emotionally touching moments during the shoot*

In the climax of the film, there were two sequences when I felt emotionally charged. Sometimes, the emotional scenes take a toll on our lives.

*On being compared with Samantha*

Even a few people said that I look like Samantha. But, I would be happy If someone says I act like Samantha.

తాజాగా విడుదలైన ‘సార్’ మూవీ ట్రైలర్ ఆకట్టుకుంటోంది. చదువుని వ్యాపారంగా చేసుకొని పేద విద్యార్థులకు చదువు అందకుండా చేస్తూ పెద్ద మనుషులుగా చలామణీ అవుతున్న వ్యక్తులపై కథానాయకుడు సాగించే పోరాటమే ‘సార్’. త్రిపాఠి ఎడ్యుకేషనల్ ఇన్స్టిట్యూషన్స్ తరపున కొన్ని ప్రభుత్వ కళాశాలను దత్తతు తీసుకుంటారు. అక్కడికి ఫ్యాకల్టీగా కథానాయుడు వెళ్తాడు. హాస్యం, ప్రేమ సన్నివేశాలతో సరదాగా సాగిపోతున్న కథలో.. కొందరి స్వార్థం కారణంగా పేద విద్యార్థులకు చదువు దూరమయ్యేలా కొన్ని అనూహ్య సంఘటనలు చోటు చేసుకుంటాయి. ఆ విద్యార్థుల తరపున సార్ ఎలా పోరాటం సాగించాడో అనే ఆసక్తిని రేకిత్తిస్తూ రూపొందిన ట్రైలర్ మెప్పిస్తోంది. “చదువుకోవాలన్న ఆశ ఉన్నప్పుడు వాళ్ళకి చదువు దొరకలేదు.. ఇప్పుడు మీరు వచ్చినా వాళ్ళ కోసం మీరు ఉంటారన్న నమ్మకం వాళ్ళకి కుదరడం లేదు”, “ఎడ్యుకేషన్ లో వచ్చినంత డబ్బు పాలిటిక్స్ లో రాదు”, “డబ్బు ఎలాగైనా సంపాదించుకోవచ్చు..కానీ మర్యాదని చదువు మాత్రమే సంపాదించి పెడుతుంది” వంటి సంభాషణలు కథానుసారం బలంగా, ఆకట్టుకునేలా ఉన్నాయి. దర్శకుడి అద్భుతమైన సృష్టికి జె. యువరాజ్ కెమెరా పనితనం, జి.వి. ప్రకాష్ కుమార్ నేపథ్య సంగీతం తోడై ట్రైలర్ ను మరోస్థాయికి తీసుకెళ్లాయి.

ట్రైలర్ విడుదల సందర్భంగా కథానాయకుడు ధనుష్ మాట్లాడుతూ.. “ఇది నాకు చాలా ప్రత్యేకమైన రోజు. ఇది నా మొదటి తెలుగు సినిమా. చాలా సంతోషంగా ఉంది. ఒకప్పుడు తెలుగు సినిమా, తమిళ సినిమా, కన్నడ సినిమా, హిందీ సినిమా అనేవాళ్ళు. కానీ ఇప్పుడు ఇండియన్ సినిమా అనడం సంతోషించదగ్గ విషయం. ఈ కథ చాలా బాగుంటుంది. నాకు ఇంతమంచి సినిమా ఇచ్చినందుకు వెంకీ అట్లూరి గారికి ధన్యవాదాలు. అలాగే చినబాబు గారికి, నాగవంశీ గారికి, త్రివిక్రమ్ గారికి, సంయుక్త మీనన్, హైపర్ ఆది మరియు మా టీమ్ అందరికీ ధన్యవాదాలు.” అన్నారు.

దర్శకుడు వెంకీ అట్లూరి మాట్లాడుతూ.. “లాక్ డౌన్ సమయంలో ఈ కథ రాసుకొని వంశీ గారికి వినిపించగా ఆయనకు నచ్చింది. లాక్ డౌన్ కావడంతో అప్పుడు హీరోలు పెద్దగా కథలు వినే ధైర్యం చేయలేదు. కానీ ధనుష్ గారు మాత్రం కథ చెప్పడానికి రమ్మన్నారు. ఈ సినిమా ఆయన చేసిన చేయకపోయినా ఆయనకు కథ చెప్పానన్న సంతృప్తి నాకు చాలు అనుకున్నాను. కానీ ఆయన కథ వినగానే ఈ సినిమా చేస్తున్నాను అనడంతో నాకు ఆ ఆనందంలో మాటలు రాలేదు. నాకు ఈ అవకాశమిచ్చిన వంశీ గారికి, ధనుష్ గారికి జీవితాంతం రుణపడి ఉంటాను” అన్నారు.

నాయిక సంయుక్త మాట్లాడుతూ సర్ సినిమా అందరినీ అలరిస్తుందని తెలిపారు.

This bi-lingual is helmed by Venky Atluri and produced by Naga Vamsi S. and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainment in association with Fortune Four Cinemas. This movie is gearing up for a grand release in Tamil and Telugu on February 17, 2023. Today, the cast and crew have gathered for the trailer launch.

Dhanush, Samyuktha Menon, Venky Atluri, Naga Vamsi, Hyper Aadi, Yuvraj are present for the trailer launch. Suma made the event more interactive with someone from the audience emphasizing the importance of Government schools.

Hyper Aadi praised the production quality of Sithara entertainment. He talked about beauty of Samyuktha and wants a teacher like her in all schools.

Venky Atluri said, “The story evolved from all the meme content floating around that I shift my base to a foreign country in the second half of my films. Then I wrote Sir’s story and narrated to Dhanush. He liked it instantly and gave his dates. That’s one of the precious moments in my life. Dhanush and G V Prakash had many blockbusters together, and I hope this film will become another one that’s notable for its background score”.

Dhanush is happy for his first straight Telugu film. He said, “Now we no longer speak about Telugu or Hindi or Telugu cinema, it’s Indian cinema. The story of Sir unfolds at a place that borders with Tamil and Telugu states, and one can witness both the flavours. I am thankful to Venky Atluri for this film. My sincere thanks to the entire team”. Dhanush pleases his fans by singing ‘Mastaru Mastaru’ song from the film.

Samyuktha Menon cheers the audience and poses for pictures and selfies with the actors who played her students in the film.

Sir’s trailer suggests that Dhanush is playing a role with multiple hues. It shows him a playful avatar and as the plot thickens, he is seen fighting for a greater cause. He is seen as a teacher sent to a government school as part of an upliftment programme. The elements such as comedy between Dhanush and Hyper Aadi, chemistry between the lead pair, the fight with Samuthirakani are creating a positive vibe for the trailer. The novel concept of educational reforms makes Sir the most sought-after film.

The trailer starts with fast cuts with thumping music. These set the tone for the trailer and hints at upcoming action-filled proceedings. As Dhanush steps into the college, there is some light-heartedness making way for comedy and romance. ‘Mastaru Mastaru’ song is breezy and established the characters bonding in the film. The stretch with Samuthirakani adds the serious tone to the film followed by Dhanush’s action to bring the change. This couple by G V Prakash’s reverberating theme music gives a joyous experience. Cinematography by J Yuvraj captures the essence of the film. Navin Nooli gives the film an unsettling pace with his sharp edits.

‘Adigindi konivvaka pothe aa pillalu okka roje edusthaaru… Kaani valla amma nanna konivvaleni paristhiti untnahtakaalam edustune untaaru’ is a hard-hitting emotional line, and one can expect many such lines in the film. During the end of the trailer when Saikumar character asks about the importance of education, Dhanush replies, ‘Dabbu elaagaina sampadinchu kovacchu… Kaani maryadani chaduvu maatrame sampaadinchi pedutundi.’ This might be the crux of Sir. This is followed by a theatre like design of ‘Dhanush In & As’ title card. That’s the whistle worthy moment for fans, and the star rightly addresses them in the end. ‘Classes start from February 17th’ is a nice touch.

వెంకీ అట్లూరి దర్శకత్వం లో తెలుగు, తమిళంలో  నిర్మిస్తున్న ఈ ద్విభాషా చిత్రం ‘సార్’(తెలుగు) ‌’వాతి’,(తమిళం) నిర్మాణ కార్యక్రమాలు ముగింపు దశలో ఉండగా, మరోవైపు చిత్రం పాటల ప్రచార పర్వం వైపు అడుగు వేసింది చిత్ర బృందం. ఇందులో భాగంగానే చిత్రానికి సంభందించిన ‘బంజారా’ అనే గీతం ఈరోజు విడుదల అయింది.

అంటూ సుద్దాల అశోక్ తేజ అందించిన సాహిత్యం హృదయాన్ని హత్తుకునేలా ఉంది. “ఏదీ మన సొంతం కాదు. కష్టాలు, సుఖాలు శాశ్వతం కాదు. ఈ క్షణాన్ని ఆస్వాదించడమే జీవితం” అనే అర్థమొచ్చేలా పదునైన మాటలతో, లోతైన భావంతో ఆయన కలం నుంచి జాలువారిన అక్షరాలు ఆలోచింపజేసేలా ఉన్నాయి. సుద్దాల అద్భుతమైన సాహిత్యానికి అంతే అద్భుతమైన జి వి ప్రకాష్ సంగీతం, అనురాగ్ కులకర్ణి స్వరం తోడై పాటను మరో స్థాయికి తీసుకెళ్లాయి.

తాజాగా విడుదలైన ‘బంజారా’ లిరికల్ వీడియో ఆకట్టుకుంటోంది. అందులోని లోకేషన్లు పల్లె వాతావరణాన్ని ప్రతిబింబించేలా ఉన్నాయి. కథానాయకుడు ఊరిలో వాళ్ళతో కలిసి నాట్యం చేయడం, అలాగే హోటల్ లో స్నేహితులతో కలిసి తిని బయటకు వచ్చాక అక్కడున్న చిన్నారికి డబ్బు సాయం చేయడం వంటివి అతని పాత్ర తీరుని, స్వభావాన్ని తెలియజేస్తున్నాయి. గీతం లోని సాహిత్యానికి అద్దం పట్టేలా కథానాయకుడి పాత్ర ఉంది. అలాగే ఈ లిరికల్ వీడియోలో పెళ్లి బృందంతో కలిసి సంగీత దర్శకుడు జి.వి ప్రకాష్, గాయకుడు అనురాగ్ కులకర్ణి నాట్యం చేయడం ప్రత్యేక ఆకర్షణగా నిలిచింది. సంగీతానికి తగ్గట్లుగా నృత్య దర్శకుడు విజయ్ బిన్ని అందించిన స్టెప్పులు ఆకట్టుకుంటున్నాయి.

Award-winning actor Dhanush and Samyuktha Menon are teaming up for the much-awaited college drama, Sir a.k.a Vaathi, a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, written and directed by Venky Atluri. S Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya are bankrolling the film under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas while Srikara Studios presents it. GV Prakash scores the music for the drama. After delighting audiences with Mastaaru Mastaaru, the makers of Sir/Vaathi launched the second single, Banjara, today.

Sung by Anurag Kulkarni and penned by national award-winning lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja, Banjara is a foot-tapping, motivational number, set in a rustic backdrop, that elaborates on the larger truths of life through simple, effective metaphors. The song establishes that the protagonist, played by Dhanush, who plays a lecturer in the film, is fighting for a cause along with a group of students. The number states the importance for all to recognise the true purpose behind their existence.

The opening lines, ‘Ille naadhani..vaakili naadhenante..Pakkuna navvuthadi bhoothalli..Padave naadhani..alalu naavenante..Padi padi navvutavi..sandrale’, with a hint of sarcasm and excellent wordplay, say the need for a human to rise above their ‘I, me, myself’ approach to life and suggests them to become one with nature. The references to the origin of thambura, various dimensions of nature and simple joys of life, showcase Suddala Ashok Teja’s brilliance.

Anurag Kulkarni lends Banjara just the right amount of raw energy and enthusiasm while making an appearance alongside composer GV Prakash Kumar in the lyrical video as well. Vijay Binni’s choreography enhances the impact of the number further and designs it more like a celebration, extracting the best out of Dhanush as a dancer. Going by the lyric video, the song unfolds when the lecturer and the students are on the move.

“Through Banjara, a situational number in Sir, we’ve tried to discuss the innate philosophy of life, the purpose beneath our existence and the fight for livelihood between our birth and our last breath. The song discusses why it’s wrong to say that God hasn’t done much to help you, how he has a place reserved for you and that it’s your responsibility to reach there. I liked how the director narrated the story, situation and wanted me to write about a life journey in a song form. Banjara was written keeping the essence of Bhagavadgita and the preachings of sage Adi Shankara in mind,” Suddala Ashok Teja shared.

The film will release simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil across the globe on February 17, 2023

Dhanush’s Telugu-Tamil bilingual Sir/Vaathi set to hit theatres on February 17, 2023

Leading producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainments is joining forces with Sai Soujanya of Fortune Four Cinemas for a bilingual film Sir (Telugu)/Vaathi (Tamil), headlined by national-award winning actor Dhanush. Srikara Studios is presenting the film. Venky Atluri is the writer and director of the prestigious project. Samyuktha Menon plays the female lead.

The makers of Sir/Vaathi announced the film’s release date today. The film will release simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil across the globe on February 17, 2023. In the release date announcement poster, Dhanush, dressed in a blue formal shirt, is flamboyantly sitting on the stairs in a college surrounded by a group of students.

Sir/Vaathi has wrapped up shoot and the post-production formalities are progressing at a brisk pace. The film’s teaser and the first single, Mastaaru Mastaaru, released recently, opened to unanimously positive responses from film buffs. Sai Kumar, Tanikella Bharani, Samuthirakani, Thotapalli Madhu, Narra Srinivas, Pammi Sai, Hyper Aadhi, Shara, Aadukalam Naren, Ilavarasu, Motta Rajendran, Hareesh Peradi and Praveena too play crucial roles in the film.

J Yuvraj cranks the camera for the film with national award-winning composer GV Prakash coming up with the background score. Navin Nooli is the editor and Avinash Kolla is the production designer. Venkat handles the action choreography.
